Help me fight back

American Cancer Society

Relay For Life

This year, I am helping save lives from cancer by taking part in the
BARTON COUNTY KANSAS American Cancer Society Relay For Life, and I'm hoping you
will support me.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing
event that gives people in communities across the globe a chance to
celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved
ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of
people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take
turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to
have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours
in length.

In addition to helping people celebrate, remember, and fight back,
Relay For Life also helps raise much-needed funds and awareness to
help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer.

Please support me in my efforts by visiting my personal web page to
make a secure, tax-deductible online donation.

Every donation really does make a difference. I know that times are
tighter than normal for many of us, but any amount you can give truly
can help save lives.

You see, thanks to your support, the American Cancer Society can:

* Help people stay well by helping them take steps to prevent
cancer or detect it early, when it's most treatable
* Help people get well by being in their corner around the clock to
guide them through every step of their cancer experience
* Find cures by funding groundbreaking research that helps us
understand cancer's causes, determine how best to prevent
it, and discover new ways to cure it
* Fight back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat
cancer and rally communities worldwide to join the fight

Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against
cancer; whatever your reasons, I hope you'll choose to
make a difference by making a donation online to support my efforts.
I'm so grateful to have people like you in my life who want to
see an end to cancer in our lifetime. Together we can save lives.

Thank you and I will keep you updated on my progress.

My scrapbook room

A few enhancements still need to be made.  I'm waiting on some things to be moved out of my basement before I can do much more.  I've added 2 more tables since I took these pics.

Ok, It's been a really long time

however, I made a card tonight.  It's for a little boy who will be 6.  The inside just has his name because there will be a lot of people signing it.  I used Close To My Heart paper, brads and stamp and my circut to make the bus.

I didn't have the scallop punch so I improvised with a flower from my new cricut. I used the CTMH Say It In Style stamp set which was a previous SOTM but can't remember which one. CTMH Black and Desert Sand Inks, Black brads and concho type thing in the middle of the flower.

Apen Level 2 and Stickease Layout w/ pics!

I'd forget my head if it weren't attached to my body!!! This time I've attached the pictures.

We've not had much snow this year so I'd had to get pictures of the kids shoveling the little bit off of the driveway one night. They are still at the stage of loving to shovel but then again they don't GET to do it too often. I love this paper and splurged for the stickease too which I don't normally do. No stamping this time even though I was itching to use my new word puzzles. I was trying to copy the layout in the winter book...I had to improvise since these were my only pictures.

what's up?

Not too much happening around here.  I did finally start one of the seasonal calendars that fit on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cs this weekend.  I only got the winter and fall completed so I will post when I get the other two seasons completed, hopefully later this week.

Here is a card that I made tonight for a hostess packet since we finally have someone wanting to have a book party.

It's really cold here as it is in many parts of the country (16*F). I hope you all are keeping warm.

A Cold Easter

I used the CTMH Eastertime Stamp and Sweet Pea Level 2 papers for these pages.

most recent project

I just learned that I could email my posts and save lots of time. But at the time, I didn't realize the body of the email would show up because my background was black as was my text. Thus I had to change my template.

lately

I have not done a lot of scrapbooking lately. Sorry. The pages that I have done, I haven't taken pics of. What I have been working on is getting ready for our 20 year class reunion. If you went to school in Great Bend and graduated 20 years ago (in 1988) we would love to hear from you. Send an email to the reunion committee with your contact info ASAP.

These pics were taken back on 4-1-2005 but I didn't quite know how to scrap them until I realized they matched these papers perfectly.
